CJC-1295 (no DAC) / Ipamorelin
CJC-1295 without DAC, also called modified GRF(1-29), is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone carrying four substitutions that resist dipeptidyl peptidase-IV cleavage; ipamorelin is a pentapeptide agonist at the ghrelin receptor, characterized in vitro and in rodent and swine models as a selective growth hormone secretagogue (Raun et al., Eur J Endocrinol 1998). Published human characterization of the CJC-1295 series covers the albumin-binding DAC form, examined for pharmacokinetics and secretion profiles in healthy volunteers (Teichman et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2006). The non-DAC form and the two-compound blend have not themselves been the subject of published human trials.
