Terms of Sale

1. Research use only

All materials supplied by Causa Labs are intended solely for laboratory research. They are not medicines, are not approved for use in humans or animals, and are not supplied for personal use. By placing an order you confirm that you are a qualified researcher acquiring material for laboratory research, and that you will not administer it to humans or animals.

2. No medical claims

Causa Labs makes no claim, express or implied, that any material has any therapeutic, diagnostic or preventative effect. Nothing on this site is medical advice. Any research context provided describes published literature and is not a representation of outcome.

3. Eligibility and your representations

By placing an order you represent and warrant that you are at least 21 years of age, that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and that you are acquiring material as, or on behalf of, a qualified researcher for laboratory research. You further represent that you will not resell, repackage or supply any material for human or veterinary use, and that you will not represent it as fit for any such use. Causa Labs may decline or cancel any order at its discretion.

4. Buyer responsibility and compliance

The buyer is solely responsible for determining that the purchase, possession, handling and intended use of any material is lawful in their jurisdiction; for obtaining any institutional, ethical or regulatory approval their research requires; for handling and storing material appropriately; and for its lawful disposal. Materials are sold for delivery within the United States. The buyer is responsible for compliance with any applicable import, export and local requirements.

5. Testing and certificates

Certificates of Analysis are published per lot and describe measurements taken on that lot. They are provided in good faith as a record of testing performed. The signed laboratory report is the authoritative document. Published figures describe the lot tested and are not a specification, guarantee or warranty of any other lot.

6. Orders, pricing and payment

Prices are listed per material and are subject to change without notice. A request submitted through this site is an offer to buy, not a binding contract; no contract is formed until Causa Labs accepts it by confirming availability and the total in writing. Payment is arranged directly and no payment is taken on this website. Orders are fulfilled subject to availability, first in first out.

7. Shipping, title and risk of loss

Title and risk of loss pass to the buyer on delivery to the carrier, or on handover at local pickup. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees, and Causa Labs is not liable for carrier delay. See shipping and returns for packaging, delivery and returns terms, which form part of these terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Except as expressly stated in these terms, all materials are supplied “as is” and Causa Labs disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No material is warranted as safe or effective for any use in humans or animals, because no material is supplied for any such use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Causa Labs' total liability in connection with any material supplied is limited to the amount paid for that material. Causa Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, and is not liable for any use of a material outside laboratory research.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Causa Labs and its officers, employees and agents against any claim, loss, liability or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your use, handling, storage, disposal or onward supply of any material, or out of your breach of these terms or of any applicable law.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Lee County, Florida.

12. Changes, severability and entire agreement

Causa Labs may update these terms at any time; the version published at the time of your order applies to that order. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. These terms, together with the shipping and privacy pages, are the entire agreement between you and Causa Labs regarding materials supplied.
