CJC-1295 (no DAC)

CJC-1295 without DAC, also called modified GRF(1-29), is a synthetic 29-amino-acid analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone(1-29) amide carrying four substitutions, D-Ala2, Gln8, Ala15 and Leu27, chosen to resist dipeptidyl peptidase-IV cleavage. It is supplied as the free peptide, without the maleimidopropionic acid drug affinity complex (DAC) linker that distinguishes CJC-1295 proper. Published human characterisation of the CJC-1295 series covers the albumin-binding DAC form, examined for pharmacokinetics and growth hormone and IGF-1 secretion profiles in healthy volunteers (Teichman et al., J Clin Endocrinol Metab 2006). The non-DAC form has not itself been the subject of published human trials, and no regulator has approved either form as a pharmaceutical.
